Kidney Stone Boy AKA The Show Steeler
So many of you may or may not know that Justin (whom we will loving refer to as kidney stone boy for the remainder of this post) has battled with kidney stones. Wednesday I was scheduled for a hysterectomy at 7. My alarm was set for 5. At 4:30 kidney stone boy begins to moan and groan. I ask him what the matter is... He says you don't even want to know.... Well I left him sitting in the tub with a bottle of Vicadin and drove myself to the hospital. They really look at you like you are a pathetic little puppy when you show up to surgery alone. He then spent the morning on the floor of our bathroom worshiping the porcelain thrown. The doctor decided to do lithotripsy which is where they do sound waves to break up the stone. $10,000. later he came to see me in the hospital. We both were coming off anethestitic.... and kept falling asleep while talking to each other. Needless to say it didn't work. So the show steeler has continued to work on passing what we refer to as gravel. Sunday morning, right on cue, at 2:12 AM he begins with his tub routine. However it isn't working so well. Finally at 3:30 Randy takes him to the E.R. Brenda comes back over. (She has only been gone for 12 hours) and I head to the hospital. They decide to do surery that morning and put a stint in. Justin doesn't get along with stints all that well. He his bided his time until today. When he called the doctor to see when they would take the stint out, he was told the sting taped to his "little man" was so he could pull it out himself. Hummmmm.... so he does. He then proceeds to have two more hours of kidney attacks. It's a good thing I feel good since my show was over before it ever started. Thank goodness for awesome friends and a fantastic ward!
